About Me

Are you experiencing a stressful situation right now in your life where you feel you just want to talk to someone? Are you fighting a lot with a spouse or having a hard time after a break-up? As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst practicing in the Mission Viejo area,  I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Whether it’s difficulty getting along with a loved one, financial worries, problems with co-workers, or emotional ups and downs, most people have something in their lives that they want to work on or change.  This works best with active participation from you as well as a trusting relationship with me. People say that I am very easy to talk to and that they feel safe when sharing with me.  I love being able to provide support and watch people strive to meet their goals using the action-based strategies given during sessions.

I offer assistance with relationships of any kind (spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, siblings, parent-child, family).  My behavioral background has given me the experience of teaching parenting skills and coping skills for difficulties in all kinds of relationships.  Having worked with special needs children, particularly Autism, I have witnessed  the many stresses that those families go through and am passionate about helping them.

SPECIALTIES:

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) I have worked with families with Autism for 15 years, providing therapy and parent consultations.  Parents who have children with Autism experience difficulties with stress levels, personal goals, family situations, and their marriages.  I offer assistance with parenting skills and providing coping strategies for the many stresses that may impact individuals and their marriages.

When couples come to see me, sometimes they just need that extra help to see eye to eye and try to work harder to stay together.  Other times, they realize that parting ways is best for both people involved.  I really enjoy being a non-biased party who offers ways to process what is going on with your relationship and help you see what changes can be made if you want to make them.
